Offer

In affiliate marketing, an offer is the packaged deal an advertiser puts in front of affiliates: the product or service, its landing pages, the action that counts as a conversion, the payout for it, and the rules — allowed geos, traffic types, and caps. Affiliates browse offers, pick ones matching their traffic, and get a tracking link per offer.

What defines an offer

The conversion flow is the heart of the definition: SOI (single opt-in — a form submit converts), DOI (double opt-in — email confirmation required), CC-submit, install, deposit, or sale. The stricter the flow, the higher the payout and the lower the conversion rate. Geos, device targeting, allowed traffic sources (push, pop, native, search…), and daily caps complete the contract.

In practice

The same product usually exists as many offers — different geos, flows, and payouts, sometimes on different networks. Comparing them is a media buyer's core skill: a lower payout with a softer flow and higher approval rate often beats the headline number.
